Frugal Friday - Coffee

Do you drink coffee?  If you are frugal you make your coffee at home instead of stopping for a latte on your way to work.  I recently cleared out some space in my kitchen to set up a coffee bar at home.

I sat out some pictures and some mugs to set the theme.  The large Starbucks mugs were 99 cents at the thrift store.  And those babies are big.  They have to hold 20 ounces.  Good for when you need a double cup of coffee.

Then I set out my supplies.  A basket holding a salt crock with spoons, and a lid-less sugar bowl filled with pumpkin spice creamer.  The salt and pepper set are filled with cinnamon and cocoa.  I labeled them using some chalkboard labels I cut into strips.  I had a gold pen handy so that is what I used.  The cute Thanksgiving themed towel came from the sale spot at a book store. And the spoons were my Grandma Marie's silver-plate.

The coffee pods are stored in the giant Starbucks paper cup shaped crock.  I found it at Goodwill for $4.   As I was checking out with it, the clerk told me she wished Starbucks coffee actually came in that size.  The different flavored boxes of coffee are stored in the cabinet underneath.  I put the most commonly used flavors in the crock.

Mmmmmm...a little pumpkin spice treat for the middle of the afternoon.  I didn't need to go anywhere and it is just as good as if I had gone to the coffee shop.

All of the Longaberger pieces (salt crock. sugar bowl, salt and pepper shakers, votive, mug, and basket) were either picked up at the thrift store or given to me.  I do still love Longaberger and I hate to see abandon odds and ends at the thrift store, so I bring them home.  I've been challenging myself to pull out the Longaberger I have stashed away.  Do you have a coffee bar?  Are you using your Longaberger?  I would love to see pictures of both.
